Departments, societies and sponsors

None of this requires funding or editorial responsibility from a department. Four ways to help, in order of ease: one email a term circulating the calls for papers and referees; introductions to colleagues who might referee; one or two academics for the Advisory Board; recognition in whatever form the department approves.

Anything public naming a department is sent to it for approval first, and no university logo is used.

Money pays for the domain, hosting and systems now, and may pay referee honoraria later. Sponsorship, grants and in-kind support are all welcome.

Independence

Nobody on the sponsorship side takes part in referee selection or any editorial decision. Editors are not told which sponsor funds what. No sponsor sits on any prize jury, and no agreement may grant a sponsor any right over editorial content.
